Sports betting in the great state of West Virginia is hot right now thanks almost entirely to the Mountaineers great success as of late October.
Gambling911.com had an opportunity to visit Morgantown, West Virginia, home of the University of West Virginia, where everybody had a smile on their face with the Mountaineers 5-0 for the first time since 2012.
“We’ve always been the underdog, way back to the 1980s,” Mountaineers head coach Dana Holgorsen said. “The state of West Virginia is used to having a chip on its shoulder and being counted out. I think our team thrives on that.”
West Virginia had odds of 50-1 to win the NCAA College Football Championship as of October 20, 2016.
