The NLDS Dodgers-Nationals Game 5 betting odds for Thursday had Washington at -150, LA at +140 and a total of 7.

Rich Hill was expected to start for the Dodgers.

ESPN.com reported there had been speculation that Julio Urias would take the mound for the Dodgers if they arrived at Game 5. However, they'll deploy Hill for the second time this series in the upcoming winner-take-all contest. In his first outing versus Washington in the NLDS, Hill picked up a loss while allowing four runs over 4.1 innings.

Ace Max Scherzer is expected to start for Washington.  The Nationals are 19-7 in Scherzer’s last 26 starts.

The Dodgers are 2-8 in their last 10 playoff road games.

Baseball News

Chris Paddack Player Prop Bets

Paddack recorded 10 strikeouts over seven shutout innings on Monday in a win over the White Sox. Prior to that start, Paddack was obliterated by the Orioles, allowing nine runs on 12 hits in 5 1/3 innings.

Zach Eflin Player Prop Bets

Zach Eflin has great value in fantasy leagues for the April 26 game against the lowly Chicago White Sox.  Betting on Eflin and the Tampa Bay Rays might make sense if not for the -210 price tag.

Trevor Williams Player Prop Bets

The Nats Trevor Williams held the Astros to one run with four strikeouts across six innings in a no-decision on Saturday.  And the betting public was eating him up at a near 80% clip.
