The Panthers-Broncos betting line for Week 1 opened with a number of 2.5 or 3 (depending on the sportsbook) favoring Carolina.

This was the most wagered on NFL game of Week 1 and it’s easy to understand why as this will be a repeat of this past Super Bowl minus the great Peyton Manning.
It’s also the first game of the new season, being played Thursday September 8.
80 percent of the betting action was on Carolina here.
The Panthers haven’t changed much coming into this season with the notable exception perhaps of a revamped secondary.
The Broncos are still a Super Bowl caliber team, just one without a good quarterback….and that could prove costly.
Heading into the new season, quarterbacks Mark Sanchez, Trevor Siemian and Paxton Lynch were each vying for that starting position.
