Robert Allenby of Australia was arrested Saturday outside a casino in Rock Island, Illinois after failing to make the cut at this weekend’s John Deere Classic, taking place in nearby Silvis, Illinois.

Bet on MLB. Join MyBookie today!Details about the arrest were scarce although the incident happened outside the Jumer's Casino around 2.30am local time.  Allenby was charged with disorderly conduct and trespassing.   He spent an hour in jail before being released.

The 45-year-old golfer is no stranger to controversy.

In January 2015, Allenby was found severely beaten with bruises all over his face after finishing dinner with friends at a restaurant.  He had claimed to have been kidnapped.  A Hawaii man was later sentenced to five years prison for using Allenby’s credit card and identification.

Allenby opened with 500-1 odds of winning this year’s John Deere Classic.
