This series has been split between the two clubs though Houston is 3-7 in the last 10 meetings in Minnesota.

PITCHING MATCHUP: Astros RH Mike Fiers (7-5, 4.34 ERA) vs. Twins LH Hector Santiago (10-5, 4.37)

Fiers is 2-1 with a 2.53 ERA in six career appearances (five starts) against Minnesota while easily handling Trevor Plouffe (1-for-9).

Santiago is 1-2 with a 3.69 ERA in 10 career appearances (eight starts) against the Astros - including a no-decision on June 21.

Hector Santiago has been especially strong versus the Astros, allowing just 18 hits on 95 at bats against the current Houston batters.

Ervin Santana, on the other hand, has let Astros batters hit 21 of 65 at bats off of him.  He will start for the Twins on Wednesday.

Against Santana, we should note that the Astros are 0-5 in their last 5 games vs. a right-handed starter.

Baseball News

Chris Paddack Player Prop Bets

Paddack recorded 10 strikeouts over seven shutout innings on Monday in a win over the White Sox. Prior to that start, Paddack was obliterated by the Orioles, allowing nine runs on 12 hits in 5 1/3 innings.

Zach Eflin Player Prop Bets

Zach Eflin has great value in fantasy leagues for the April 26 game against the lowly Chicago White Sox.  Betting on Eflin and the Tampa Bay Rays might make sense if not for the -210 price tag.

Trevor Williams Player Prop Bets

The Nats Trevor Williams held the Astros to one run with four strikeouts across six innings in a no-decision on Saturday.  And the betting public was eating him up at a near 80% clip.
