Last year’s Battle of Malta shattered records and the 2016 event is likely to continue that trend as over 2000 players are set to compete in beautiful Malta, home of the world’s largest online gambling industry.

What began in 2012 as a 342-player freezeout has evolved into a massive poker festival with a record-setting 1,804 runners in the main event last year.

2016 Battle of Malta qualifiers are basically running non-stop until the end of the summer on all three BOM sponsor sites including Betsson, Betsafe and Nordic Bet.

Aside from the chance to win a sweet cash prize, Battle of Malta organizers arrange some of the best nighttime party events at the island nation’s finest clubs.

Getting to Malta is simple and affordable from a number of Europe’s top hubs.  Our favorite, from the USA, is Milan with several different airlines flying direct from New York’s JFK Airport, including Emirates and Delta. Both have WIFI over the Atlantic though Emirates does not allow access to online poker sites (not even news sites like Gambling911.com).
