Detroit is a -137 home favorite on Thursday with Chicago at +125.  The total was set at 8.5.

Chicago is 15-39 in the last 54 meetings in Detroit and 9-24 in their last 33 road games.

Jose Quintano will start for the White Sox Thursday.  The UNDER is 10-1 in Quintana’s last 11 road starts and 14-6-1 in Detroit’s last 21 overall.  Seven of the last ten games in this series have resulted in 8 runs or more.

Quintana has allowed a total of 77 hits off of 234 at bats versus the Tigers current roster though only one home run over that span.

Quintana has only allowed two runs over his last 18 innings pitched and is due to give up more here considering that was not exactly the norm prior to this span.  In three of four previous outings he permitted four or more runs.

Jordan Zimmermann, meanwhile, has been completely rattled of late and will also be returning off of the DL.

Baseball News

Chris Paddack Player Prop Bets

Paddack recorded 10 strikeouts over seven shutout innings on Monday in a win over the White Sox. Prior to that start, Paddack was obliterated by the Orioles, allowing nine runs on 12 hits in 5 1/3 innings.

Zach Eflin Player Prop Bets

Zach Eflin has great value in fantasy leagues for the April 26 game against the lowly Chicago White Sox.  Betting on Eflin and the Tampa Bay Rays might make sense if not for the -210 price tag.

Trevor Williams Player Prop Bets

The Nats Trevor Williams held the Astros to one run with four strikeouts across six innings in a no-decision on Saturday.  And the betting public was eating him up at a near 80% clip.
