You can bet the Nationals-Giants series this Thursday through Sunday.  Game One of this series on Friday features a line of San Francisco -138, Washington +120 and a total of 7. Six of the last ten games in this series have failed to result in more than five runs.

In this game, Johnny Cueto shut out the Nats the last time he faced them, going the full nine innings.  He’s coming off a no-decision despite allowing just one unearned run his last start.

San Francisco shut out Washington in the last four meetings, all at home.

The Nats Tanner Roarke struggled against the Giants last season in the few innings he pitched.

We here at Gambling911.com are hoping these Giants are starting to get back on track.

We really like San Francisco at -138 here with Cueto starting.

Neither starter Friday will be entering this matchup with a win under their belt their last appearance.

Jeff Samardzija (9-6), in particular, was hit especially hard.  Samardzija surrendered five runs on eight hits over 5.2 innings Sunday. He walked one and struck out three in a loss to the Yankees.

Samardzija has been getting clocked in recent starts, allowing five or more runs in four of his last six starts.  OUCH!

Still, he’s allowed only 26 hits on 96 at bats against the current Nats lineup.

Max Scherzer, coming off a no decision his last start, has only given up more than two runs once in nine of his last ten starts and he’s lasted seven innings or more in seven of his last ten.

The last five games he has started in have resulted in no more than seven runs.

Samardzija should drive the posted total on this game up.

We will take the UNDER if 7.5 or higher here.

DR Congo has 1 point and likely needs a win to have a realistic shot at advancing as a third-place team. Uzbekistan has 0 points and must win to stay alive. A draw probably eliminates Uzbekistan and likely does very little for DR Congo.
