The San Francisco Giants are on a tour of the East Coast as they face off the Boston Red Sox for a quick 2 game series starting today Wednesday July 20, before they head out to New York to battle the Yankees.

We will be taking a look at game 2 of this series, which is set to start at 7:10 pm ET in historic Fenway Park in Boston and can be seen nationwide on ESPN. You can check the baseball betting line for the game at AceSportsbook.com.

The Giants are the current leaders of the National League West with a record of 57-36 for a PCT of 0.609, their away record is 28-19, but they are coming from a 3 game loss after being swept by the Padres over the weekend.

The Boston Red Sox on the other hand are currently in second place for the American League East with a season record of 51-39 for a PCT of 0.567; their at home record is 30-20. They managed to win 2 out of 3 games against their archenemy’s the New York Yankees, but they dropped the last game on Sunday when they lost 1-3.

For this second game the Giants are listing right hander Matt Cain as their pitcher; Cain has been sidelined for the last few months after he injured his right hamstring in late May, he attempted a comeback but aggravated his injury on June 13th and has not started since. This season he is 1-5 with an ERA of 5.34, with those stats it is clear Cain is not the best pitcher in the roadster for the Giants.

Drew Pomeranz will make his debut as a starter for the Red Sox after joining the team last week when he was traded by the Padres. The 27 year-old left hander is no stranger to being the new comer, he has been traded 4 times already, when asked how he felt about his debut this is what he had to say “I’ve done literally everything there is to do on a baseball field as a pitcher," I'm pretty prepared for anything. You could shove me out there in any situation, I've done it." Although he has had to adjust to changes quite frequently it is not entirely true that he has done it all, he has no experience as a post season pitcher and he hasn’t really experienced baseball in the northeast. Yet I feel confident he will find his way with his new team, his current regular season stats are 8-7 with an ERA of 2.47.

Having said all that, I predict the Boston Red Sox will win this final game, given the performance of Matt Cain and the fact that he is just returning from the disabled list,  I feel confident in betting the run line in this game and getting that extra value on my bet.
