You can bet the Royals-Tigers series Friday through Sunday with a line of Detroit -137, KC +131 and a total of 8.5 for Game One.  Detroit was a +105 underdog at home on Saturday with Kansas City a -115 road favorite.  The total on Game Two was set at 9.

The OVER is 11-3 in the last fourteen games of this series. Seven of the last ten in this series have resulted in nine or more runs.

Game One PITCHING MATCHUP: Royals RH Ian Kennedy (6-7, 3.97 ERA) vs. Tigers RH Justin Verlander (8-6, 4.07)

Kennedy is 0-3 with a 4.94 ERA in four starts against the Tigers.   He has not allowed more than 3 runs in his last four starts, though the Royals have failed to win in his last two starts.

Detroit’s Mike Pelfrey (starting Saturday) has allowed just two runs in his last two starts with just over 12 innings pitched.  He’s been roughed up by the current Royals lineup, allowing 27 hits on 86 at bats with a single home run.

Danny Duffy of the Royals has now pitched at least eight frames in each of his last two starts, making Saturday’s total of 9 even more unattractive.

Chris Paddack Player Prop Bets

Paddack recorded 10 strikeouts over seven shutout innings on Monday in a win over the White Sox. Prior to that start, Paddack was obliterated by the Orioles, allowing nine runs on 12 hits in 5 1/3 innings.

Zach Eflin Player Prop Bets

Zach Eflin has great value in fantasy leagues for the April 26 game against the lowly Chicago White Sox.  Betting on Eflin and the Tampa Bay Rays might make sense if not for the -210 price tag.

Trevor Williams Player Prop Bets

The Nats Trevor Williams held the Astros to one run with four strikeouts across six innings in a no-decision on Saturday.  And the betting public was eating him up at a near 80% clip.
