He’ll be well rested coming into Saturday’s Belmont Stakes race.
Brody’s Cause is the winner of both the Breeders Futurity and his most recent race, the Blue Grass Stakes pre-Kentucky Derby. He finished 7th in the Tampa Bay Derby, duplicating that performance at the Kentucky Derby last month.
Trainer Dale Romans offered this about Brody’s Cause prior to his appearance at Churchill Downs.
“You can check all the boxes with this one,” Romans said. “He’s run well over this racetrack, his pedigree and his races say he can handle the mile and a quarter, and he’s run in big fields. Plus, he’s as fit as I can get him, and I love how he’s doing.”
