Billionaire business tycoon is losing £171,233 an hour according to a report filed by the News of the World on Sunday.  This was equivalent to £1.5 billion.  He's now down to his last £1.2billion.  At the current rate, should he lose another £1.5 billion, he won't only have lost his billionaire status, he might be washing dishes at some Irish pub or - worse - writing articles with Jenny Woo at Gambling911.com.

From the News of the World:

Branson, 58, is among Britain's 1,000 wealthiest people who have lost a combined £155billion, according to The Sunday Times Rich List. The mega-wealthy have seen their fortunes battered by plunging stock markets and High Street sales.

Branson wasn't alone, nor was he the biggest loser.  Chelsea owner, Roman Abramovich, saw his fortune dive by £4.7 billion to £7 billion.
Jennings Moss of Conde Nast says not to feel too sorry for Sir Branson though.

Last week he was photographed off his private island with naked model Denni Parkinson hanging off his back.

"There's something oddly calming to know that as the world deals with a global economic crisis and airline executives wring their hands over lost revenues, at least one industry leader knows how to have a good time," Jennings writes in his blog.

Branson's company is involved in online gambling through Virgin Poker.
