Amy Scarpelli was sentenced Tuesday in federal court in Dayton.

Prosecutors have said the former manager of a U.S. Bank branch in Miamisburg used the money for gambling, sporty cars and motorcycles.

Scarpelli's attorney, Dennis Gump, says his client told the judge prior to sentencing that she has taken responsibility for her actions. The defense maintained that she had a gambling addiction and sought a four-year sentence. Gump says there's been no decision on whether to appeal the sentence.

The judge ordered restitution of $5.2 million.

Scarpelli pleaded guilty last year to embezzling over a four-year span.
