Following extensive coverage on mounting payout complaints at Slovenia-based TonyBet.com on both the Gambling911.com and SportsBookReview.com websites, representatives from that beleaguered company have responded.
A statement was provided to the SBR website by an unidentified TonyBet representative.
"We're working on this situation unfortunately we're not able to get all the information and see the whole picture as quick and as good as we would like to. Our management team is flying to meet our partners in a few days. We're all working on it and I'll constantly update you on what we have. "
Antanas ‘Tony G’ Guoga started the site a few years back with much fanfare especially since he had developed such a solid reputation as both a poker player and politician. It is not immediately clear how extensive his role is in the company today.
Gambling911.com’s coverage pertaining to TonyBet.com was among its most followed via Twitter over the last two week period in May.
In March, TonyBet made headlines by introducing what PokerNews.com deemed to be “revolutionary new rakeback”, rewarding an unheard of 80 percent at its hold’em and pot-limit Omaha tables.
This begs the question: What good is "revolutionary new rakeback" when you have to beg and claw to try and get paid?
Though based out of Slovenia, TonyBet accepts players from most countries throughout the world with the notable exceptions of the United States, France and Spain.
SportsBookReview.com has urged its readers to report complaints to them.
