  • Boston is 10-4 vs. Kansas City in last 14 meetings
  • Rick Porcello has recorded six straight quality starts
  • Yordano Ventura allowed 10 runs in eight innings over his last two turns
  • David Price has allowed 26 hits off of 99 at bats versus the current Royals lineup

You can bet the Red Sox-Royals series where Boston was a +116 road dog and KC at -128 home favorite for Game 1 of this series.  The total was set at 7.5.  Totals applied to the last six games of this series played in Kansas City have ranged anywhere from 7 to 8.5. NOTE: GAME 1 HAS BEEN POSTPONED

Here are your probable pitchers for each day:

Tuesday – D. Price ((5-1, 6.00) vs. I. Kennedy (4-3, 3.25)

Wednesday – S. Wright (3-3, 2.36) vs. E. Volquez (4-3, 3.51)

The focus of this series will be on Boston since they have gone 10-4 in the last 14 meetings.

While 5 of the last 6 games of this series played in KC have resulted in 8 runs or more, the UNDER is 13-4 in the Royals last 17 home games overall.

David Price is another hot pitcher for Tuesday, not just because of the Red Sox recent dominance over KC but also because he has allowed just 26 hits off of 99 at bats versus the current Royals lineup.  Three of those were home runs.

Steven Wright had allowed no more than 2 runs in six starts prior to his last where he gave up 5 runs on 9 hits.  We would anticipate a nice rebound Wednesday.

Edinson Volquez has struggled against Josh Rutledge, allowing 5 hits off of 12 at bats.

Take Boston Any price on Tuesday and as another likely dog at any price (even if a small favorite) Wednesday.
