Destin post position draw landed him in the number ten post position with decent 20-1 odds.

The 10 position has yielded nine wins in seventy-nine, the highest percentage of wins in Kentucky Derby history.  One horse starting from this post position has won since 1999.

Ron Moquett (trainer) – “We're tickled with it. All we've been wanting is a good post and a good trip. Last year, we didn't get a good post and I don't know if it would have changed anything, but this year we have a better post and a better horse."
