PITCHING MATCHUP: Reds RH Dan Straily (0-0, 3.50 ERA) vs. Pirates RH Juan Nicasio (2-2, 4.50)

Straily was impressive against Pittsburgh on April 10, tossing three scoreless innings in relief.  He started the season pitching from the bullpen and has been impressive in his last two starts.

Nicasio is alternating between wins and losses, having lost his last outing.

The OVER is 13-3 in Pittsburgh’s last 16 overall and 5-1-2 in Cincinnati’s last 8 overall.  Five of the last seven games in Cincinnati have gone OVER 8.5.

The total for this series is 7.5.  Pittsburgh is a -147 favorite at some books while Cincinnati is at +138.

Baseball News

Chris Paddack Player Prop Bets

Paddack recorded 10 strikeouts over seven shutout innings on Monday in a win over the White Sox. Prior to that start, Paddack was obliterated by the Orioles, allowing nine runs on 12 hits in 5 1/3 innings.

Zach Eflin Player Prop Bets

Zach Eflin has great value in fantasy leagues for the April 26 game against the lowly Chicago White Sox.  Betting on Eflin and the Tampa Bay Rays might make sense if not for the -210 price tag.

Trevor Williams Player Prop Bets

The Nats Trevor Williams held the Astros to one run with four strikeouts across six innings in a no-decision on Saturday.  And the betting public was eating him up at a near 80% clip.
