Niese comes into Monday’s game against the Tigers following a flawed outing in his opener versus the Cardinals in which three of the five hits he allowed went for extra bases, including a Jedd Gyorko two-run home run.  Niese did show signs of brilliance at times with 10 swinging strikes in just 81 pitches.

Niese will be priced around $6500 Monday facing Detroit.  Pittsburgh has enjoyed success against Detroit, going 9-4 in the last 13 meetings, and thus boosting Niese’s value somewhat.  The Pirates are also 12-3 in their last 15 interleague games.

Baseball News

Chris Paddack Player Prop Bets

Paddack recorded 10 strikeouts over seven shutout innings on Monday in a win over the White Sox. Prior to that start, Paddack was obliterated by the Orioles, allowing nine runs on 12 hits in 5 1/3 innings.

Zach Eflin Player Prop Bets

Zach Eflin has great value in fantasy leagues for the April 26 game against the lowly Chicago White Sox.  Betting on Eflin and the Tampa Bay Rays might make sense if not for the -210 price tag.

Trevor Williams Player Prop Bets

The Nats Trevor Williams held the Astros to one run with four strikeouts across six innings in a no-decision on Saturday.  And the betting public was eating him up at a near 80% clip.
