 East Region
No. 1 North Carolina (28-6) vs. No. 16 FGCU/Farleigh Dickenson winner
The Tar Heels should roll over either Florida Gulf Coast or Farleigh Dickinson in this game.
No. 8 USC (21-12) vs. No. 9 Providence (23-10)
The Trojans and Friars are very evenly matched so this should go down to the wire. Providence has more talent but they make a ton of mistakes to keep other teams in the game.
March Madness Odds: Providence -2
No. 5 Indiana (25-7) vs. No. 12 Chattanooga (29-5)
This one might be a lot more interesting than people think. Indiana isn’t always great at shooting from the outside and when they go cold they struggle. Chattanooga plays really good defense and they might spring the upset and ruin the Indiana-Kentucky second round matchup.
March Madness Odds: Indiana -11.5

No. 4 Kentucky (25-8) vs. No. 13 Stony Brook (26-6)
The Wildcats are more experienced and they have more talent so they should win but it might not be easy as Stony Brook has lost just twice since mid-December.
March Madness Odds: Kentucky -14.5
No. 6 Notre Dame (22-11) vs. No. 11 Michigan/Tulsa winner
Notre Dame should be able to handle either Michigan or Tulsa but if they happen to face the Wolverines at least it would be interesting.
No. 3 West Virginia (26-8) vs. No. 14 Stephen F. Austin (27-5)
The Mountaineers will look to run and turn this into a frenzied game. Stephen A. Austin is number one in the nation in turnover margin so if they can avoid mistakes this game might be interesting. March Madness Odds: West Virginia -7
No. 7 Wisconsin (20-12) vs. No. 10 Pitt (21-11)
This might not be the low scoring game people think as neither defense is anything special. Pittsburgh is better offensively and they should be able to grind out a win
