The Houston Texans Super Bowl 50 odds to win updated January 9, 2016 were set at 40-1 for a potential payout of $1400 on every $100 or $140 on every $10 bet.

While it may not seem it, the Texans are currently one of the hottest teams in the league though their 7-5 record hardly seems all that intimidating.

The Texans had won three straight to unseat Indianapolis as the AFC South champion and will face the red hot Kansas City Chiefs as a +3 home dog Saturday.  They lost to Kansas City in Week One with Brian Hoyer benched at that time.

The Texans made the Playoffs in one of the weakest divisions but with four different starting quarterbacks, the first team to do so since 1950.   Hoyer will start in Saturday’s game versus the Chiefs.

''We expect to win the division, expect to be in the playoffs,'' said defensive end J.J. Watt, who looks to help the Texans improve to 3-0 in home playoff games. ''We aren't satisfied with where we are right now. We expect to be where we are right now and we look forward to moving even farther forward.''

Houston won six of their last eight games both Straight Up and Against The Spread.
