Arizona Wildcats -10

New Mexico Lobos +10

Total: 63

Arizona Wildcats 6-6 SU, 6-6 ATS

The Wildcats were just 2-5 in conference play but they pulled off a big win against a Utah team ranked in the Top 10 to become bowl eligible. They needed that win because they lost their finale to rival Arizona State. The Wildcats didn’t have quarterback Anu Solomon and backup Brandon Dawkins didn’t play well enough. Solomon is listed as questionable for this game but the extra rest in between games definitely helps. The Wildcats scored 37 points per game this season but they allowed 36 points per contest. If Solomon plays they have a chance to win and cover this bowl game but if he is out they are in trouble. The Wildcats went over the total in 9 of their 12 games this season.

New Mexico Lobos 7-5 SU, 6-6 ATS

The Lobos were a great story this season under head coach Bob Davie. They finished with a winning record and they now have home field advantage for the bowl game. The Lobos score 29 points per game and allow 27 points per contest. They are led on defense by linebacker Dakota Cox who leads the team in tackles and ranks second in tackles for a loss and sacks. This will be the first bowl game for New Mexico since the 2007 season. New Mexico went under the total in 7 of their 12 games this season.
