The Battle of Malta, considered the biggest standalone poker tournament in Europe, will contribute an amazing 12 percent to that Mediterranean nation’s GDP.  This according to Paul Bugeja, Chief Operating Officer (COO) for the Malta Tourism Authority.

This year could lead to an even greater contribution as it coincides with one of online gambling’s biggest industry conferences, the Summit of iGaming Malta, SIGMA.

PokerListings.com, the powerhouse behind this formidable event, had this to offer about the November 4-9 tournament:

After a record-smashing 2014 that saw a €700k prize pool and 1,447 entries in the main event the Battle of Malta is even bigger this year. Additions include:

One added starting day for three total to choose from

3 VIP parties including new All-In Friday at Malta's #1 nightclub

One added night at 5-Star Hilton Malta included in BOM packages

Even more side events, player perks and A-list sponsors!

Gambling911.com will be covering this event from Malta. Watch for our extensive coverage beginning the days leading up to November 4 through to its conclusion November 9.
