New England Patriots -7, total 50.5

Steelers Without Three Key Starters

The Patriots got good news with Brady being available but the news is not as good for the Steelers as they will be without three starters. Running back Le’Veon Bell, center Maurkice Pouncey and wide receiver Martavis Bryant will all miss the opener. The Steelers still have quarterback Ben Roethlisberger and wide receiver Antonio Brown so their offense is still going to put up points, especially against a New England defense that looks much weaker than last year’s unit.

Patriots Ready to Attack Steelers Defense

The Patriots could have a field day against a Pittsburgh defense that has been awful in the preseason. The Pittsburgh secondary allowed Buffalo quarterbacks to complete 30 of 33 passes in the third preseason game. Pittsburgh has a new defensive coordinator in Keith Butler and so far the transition has not gone well. “(Our players) need the experience together, and even if it is experience of failing, it is better than not being out there,” Butler said. Pittsburgh was not very good last season on defense and this year’s defense may not be any better.
