2015-16 Projections and Expectations

The development of Mason Rudolph will be a huge factor in the success for the Cowboys this season, and with two big wins over rival Oklahoma and a bowl win to his credit, the future looks okay. Yes, Oklahoma State graduated 28 senior players, but no one in camp has their head down this year and there are, in fact, 14 returning starters regardless.

Naturally, TCU and Baylor are expected to take the Big 12 title this season, with Oklahoma State expected to finish third of fourth in the conference at most media outlets. The November schedule will be the key, with TCU, Baylor and Oklahoma all likely to be favored against the Cowboys. An eight-win season is likely, but there will be no hardware in Stillwater other than a possible bowl win in late December.
