A deep run in one-day High Rollers is not for the faint-hearted, but if simply making a final table earns you north of €100k, then 15 hours of work suddenly seems alright.

Team PokerStars Pro Liv Boeree, Martin Finger and Mark Teltscher kept going until 5am when casino regulations meant bagging up and arranging another time to play down to a winner. The three former EPT champions will resume their battle for another major EPT trophy (and first prize of €865,900) at 4pm on Thursday. All are guaranteed at least €391,000.

EPT Prague winner Finger, currently leading with 7,640,000, and EPT London champ Teltscher (on 3,700,000) can now stay in bed as long as they like. But Boeree, currently second in chips with 3,860,00, will be up again in less than six hours to late reg Day 2 of the EPT Main Event. Mike McDonald, Team PokerStars Pro Online’s Ike Haxton, Jeff Rossiter and Jani Sointula also made today’s final, and were probably also wondering when they might conceivably squeeze in a cat-nap before heading back to the Gaudi Room for EPT Day 2. You can read all about it on the PokerStars blog because Stephen Bartly stayed up way past his bedtime as well.

Final table payouts so far:

4th Jani Sointula, Finland, , €320,300
5th Mike McDonald, Canada, , €257,000
6th Isaac Haxton, USA, Team PokerStars Online, €199,200
7th Jeff Rossiter, Australia, , €147,500
8th Iacopo Brandi , Italy, , €108,400

Italian pro Mustapha Kanit railed much of tonight’s action, perhaps handing out tips on how to stay awake in this single-day events, having won the inaugural one-day €50k Super High Roller in Monaco last May for €936,500.

There were 118 unique players in today's one-dayer which, with another 34 re-entries, created a total prize pool of €3,724,000. Among the 20 players who have already cashed were EPT Tallinn champion Kevin Stani (9th, €86,400) , Tobias Reinkemeier, EPT Grand Final champions Adrian Mateos, Steve O’Dwyer, and Antonio Buonanno plus Team PokerStars Pro Leo Fernandez and Argentine star Ivan Luca.

Team PokerStars SportStar Neymar Jr and his FC Barcelona team-mate Gerard Pique both took part in the tourney - to the delight of players and football fans alike - but bust before the dinner break.
