The New Orleans Saints odds to win the 2016 Super Bowl and the 2015 NFC South were at 40/1 and +220 respectively.

The Saints are a mere skeleton of the Super Bowl champions from years past.

Positives: Drew Brees is still the quarterback and, as long as that is the case, this Saints team can be contenders in a very weak NFC South division.  A defensive facelift could lead to improvements.  He continues to be one of the top Fantasy prospects. The Saints are pegged to win 9 games by oddsmakers.

Negatives:  The Saints could not win in this weak division last season.  They overhauled their offensive line but this is more of a building process than anything else.  The linebacker unit needs work.

Final Analysis: Some experts believe the Saints are the team to beat in the NFC South.  Changes on both sides of the ball could prove positive but that remains to be seen.  There is a lot of uncertainty surrounding this team but, as noted above, Brees will keep them in contention.

Odds to Win the NFC South:

Carolina 2/1

New Orleans +220

Atlanta +220

Tampa Bay +650
