Sportsbook.ag has Vanessa Selbst as the one to beat among the women at this year’s World Series of Poker Main Event, which kicked off Sunday.  Her odds were set at 10-1.

Selbst is among the most successful players in the game today, male or female.  She has won over $10.6 million in live tournaments and has 73 cashes along with 14 titles.

On Selbst heels at 15-1 odds of being the most successful woman at this year’s Main Event is the only woman who has ever won a WSOP Main Event title, Annette Obrestad.  She was also the youngest player to have ever won a WSOP bracelet at the 2007 World Series of Poker Europe.

Despite Obrestad’s feat, no woman has ever won a World Series of Poker Main event outside of Europe. Only one female has ever made it to the Final table.  That would be Barbara Enright in 1995.

Jennifer Harman, Leo Margets, Liv Boeree and Loni Harwood were also listed with 15-1 odds.
