Winning the first ever WSOP Colossus event and its $638,880 prize is reason alone to open a Twitter account.

Cord Garcia’s first tweet Wednesday night: “Hello Twitter! #myfirsttweet I won the #Colossus”

He even knew how to use the hashtags properly.

Garcia of Houston, Texas was one of 22,374 participating in the event, 5664 of whom had never played in the World Series of Poker before.  Garcia was among them.

It was a record number of people enticed by the affordable $565 buy-in.

The $11.2 million prize pool was spread out among 2,241 players.
