The Marlins vs. Mets series betting line for Friday had New York as a -161 home favorite, Miami at +150 and the total set at 6.5.

PITCHING MATCHUP: Marlins RH Dan Haren (4-2, 3.09 ERA) vs. Mets RH Matt Harvey (5-2, 2.91)

Haren is the best of today’s pitchers based on past history against the roster he will be facing.

Haren has permitted just 24 hits on 115 at bats against the current Mets roster.  Five of those were homeruns and nine were RBIs to be clear.

He has only allowed more than two runs in two of nine games he has started this season.  Haren got through 6 or more innings in seven of nine of  those starts.

Harvey game up 7 runs his last outing but had not given up more than 3 runs in seven of eight (4 runs were given up in another). He allowed zero runs in three of four previous to this last poor outing.

The OVER is 9-1 in the last 10 meetings in New York and 13-3-1 in the last 17 meetings.

That won’t stop us from being all over the UNDER 6.5 with this pitching matchup.
