As ESPN.com notes, the fact remains that Eovaldi is plainly quite hittable. The six hits he gave up Tuesday match his low for the season, and he has already given up five home runs through seven starts.
He took on Washington four times last season as a member of the Marlins. He only permitted two runs in three of those games. Only one went OVER the current 7.5 number.
Gonzalez gave up five runs on nine hits and a pair of walks Wednesday against the Diamondbacks. He struck out three and didn't receive a decision. (Wed May 13)
Gonzalez is coming off a rough outing after two consecutive solid performances.
He’s only allowed a single homerun against Yankees current roster.

Ryan Zimmerman has hit in nine of his last ten and is 3-for-8 with two homeruns against Eovaldi.
Wilson Ramos has hit in all but one of his last ten games as well and is 5-for-14 against Eovaldi.
Brett Gardner is 2-for-5 against Gio Gonzalez with a triple.
