The PokerStars and Monte-Carlo® Casino EPT Grand Final has just hosted yet another record-breaking €25k High Roller.

There were 215 entries in to this season's event, beating last year's number by just one, and the number of unique players - 162 - also sets a new record (there were 159 last year). Some four hours in to Day 2, there are around sixty players still in the event and 31 will get a share of the €5,267,500 prize pool. The winner will take €1,114,000 while a min-cash is worth €46,400.

Three players (Leo Yan Ho Cheng, Fady Kamar and Riccardo Stevens) didn't enter the tournament until start of play today while other eleven players fired off their second bullet this morning including defending champion Philipp Gruissem. However, the German high roller won't be repeating last year's success as he's already been eliminated.

Team PokerStars Pro Daniel Negreanu is still in contention as well as Team PokerStars Pro Online's Isaac Haxton. Negreanu came close to winning this event back in Season 8 but was beaten heads-up by Igor Kurganov (who is also still in contention today). The Canadian pro took €598,600 for second place while the Russian banked €1,080,000. The current chip leader is Russia's Andrey Andreev.

€25K High Rollers at EPT Grand Final:
Season 5: 79 entries, Vanessa Rousso for €532,500
Season 6: 113 entries, Tobias Reinkemeier for €956,000
