US-facing online poker site, Americas Cardroom recently reported that they've jumped up to the #2 spot in the U.S. online poker rankings. The online poker site today revealed that they're on track to hit a number of major milestones this weekend, including the highest-ever Sunday Special tournament with a $100,000 prize pool and the launch of Jackpot Poker.
"It seems like every week we announce that this weekend is the best one yet, but with more and more players joining the Americas Cardroom community, things keep getting bigger and better," stated Americas Cardroom spokesperson Michael Harris. "We're excited to see more records being broken and this pushes us to continue to deliver everything poker players want, plus lots of surprises to wow everyone."
This weekend, Americas Cardroom's Sunday Special Tournament will reach its highest prize pool yet with an impressive $100,000 on the table. The Sunday Special is Americas Cardroom's weekend poker tournament that increases based on its success. Each week that the tournament covers, $5,000 in prize money is added to the following week's prize pool. The $215 buy-in tournament only sees its prize pool drop if it fails to cover two weeks in a row.
Jackpot Poker
Also this weekend, Americas Cardroom players will be greeted with the all-new Jackpot Poker game. It is a 3-player Hyper Turbo Sit & Go that lasts an average of 7 minutes. Poker players can enter for $2 (play for $5k) or $10 (play for $25k). The prize pool is randomly drawn right before the start of the tournament.
Just a few days ago, poker player ‘crisppoker’ turned $2 into a $2,000 win at the Jackpot Poker tables. The response to Jackpot Poker on Facebook, various social media sites, and several online poker forums has been extremely positive.
Americas Cardroom is doing a lot to make it a prime location for winning big this weekend. This Sunday, the online poker site will host a $50+5 buy-in tournament with two WSOP packages guaranteed. Each package pays out a $10,000 Main Event buy-in plus $2,500 for travel and accommodations.
$150,000 Freebuy Super Series
Fans of the free tables haven't been left out either. On May 8th, Americas Cardroom will kick off the Freebuy Super Series, a free online poker tournament series with $150,000 in guaranteed prize money.
