The top 10 poker networks in terms of real cash players as of Mid March were as follows:
PokerStars - This company is more than double the size of its nearest competitor, Full Tilt Poker, in all aspects. Daily weekly average number of real time poker players was listed at 23,400 for the Mid March period. Its 24 hour peak neared 35,000.
Full Tilt Poker - This company was far smaller than the largest online poker room, PokerStars, yet was about 50 percent larger than the third busiest online card network, iPoker, which encompasses the powerful Playtech software enterprise. Full Tilt enjoyed a 7-day average of just under 11,000 real cash players. It's peak number of players was only around 450 more than iPoker at just shy of 15,000 over this period.
iPoker - The third largest online poker network is about 50 percent the size of Full Tilt Poker and only a few hundred players larger than PartyPoker. In terms of average real cash players, Party was nearly nose to nose with iPoker, having 6100 average players compared to Party's 5700. They peaked at 10478 for the period compared to PartyPoker's 9587.
PartyPoker - As the 4th largest online poker room, it is conceivable that Party could become the 3rd largest over the next month if it continues to gain ground on iPoker. They were within 400 real cash players of one another. OnGame remained a distant 5th.
OnGame - As the 5th largest online poker room, OnGame had an average of 3050 real cash players over this period and around half that of PartyPoker. Everest was within 400 players of OnGame.
Everest - This was the 6th largest online poker room in the world but within only a few hundred real cash players of catching up to OnGame. That said, Cereus was within 200 real cash players of catching up to Everest.
Cereus - The 7th largest online venture in the world over this period was dangerously close to catching up to Everest. It averaged 2400 real cash players and peaked at 4232 over this period. The network is comprised of Absolute Poker and UltimateBet.com - two proud Gambling911.com sponsors.
Boss Media - The 8th largest online poker network was a little further back from Cereus with nearly 500 less real cash players on average over this period and almost 800 less peak. Boss was fighting to keep this position as Cake was within 200 real cash players of catching up.
Cake Poker - In the 9th position, Cake Poker had 1740 real cash players on average. That was 200 less than Boss Media. It's peak number was nearly 1000 off from Boss, however, at 3510.
Entraction - Had about 300 less real cash players than Cake but came in with around the same peak number.
