Gambling911.com has your Red Sox vs. Phillies DFS MLB picks and betting for April 9.

PITCHING MATCHUP: Red Sox RH Justin Masterson (2014: 7-9, 5.88 ERA) vs. Phillies RH David Buchanan (2014: 6-8, 3.75)

Buchanan allowed three earned runs or fewer in 18 of his 20 starts while Masterson has held Ben Revere to a .233 average without any extra-base hits in 31 times facing the Philadelphia player.  The Phillies with Buchanan starting are an enticing +126, especially since the Red Sox are just 1-7 in their last 8 games as a favorite of -110 to -150.

With that said, the Phillies are just 1-6 in Buchanan’s last 7 starts as an underdog of +110 to +150 and 1-8 in his last 9 starts.  Pulling the trigger on Philly with Buchanan would be a hard pill to swallow under these circumstances.

Phillies C Carlos Ruiz is 3-for-5 with three walks so far this season and does offer some degree of value to daily fantasy players Thursday though much of this game provides very little DFS incentives in our opinion.

The OVER/UNDER for this game is 7.5.
