They might do things bigger in Texas, but Omaha is where the money is, at least according to Americas Cardroom's latest numbers.

The online poker site revealed that while Texas Hold'em remains a player-favorite, Americas Cardroom is fast becoming the top choice for Omaha players.

The first quarter of 2015 has been a record breaker. From January 1st through March 23rd, Pot Limit Omaha and Pot Limit Omaha Hi/Lo traffic is up an impressive 54% compared to the 2014 numbers.

$1,000,000 Guaranteed Tournaments

Texas Hold'em usually takes center stage at Americas Cardroom. Online qualifiers for the WSOP, Punta Cana Poker Classic, and LPS events are more often than not of the Texas Hold'em flavor. And last monthly Winning Millions $1,000,000 poker tournament (not to mention next month's Million Dollar Sunday tourney - April 12th at 3:00pm ET) also caters to Texas Hold'em players.

"As players discover these large online events, an improved tournament schedule, and the addition of innovative offerings like the Sunday Special, they start to explore the Omaha games," stated Americas Cardroom spokesperson Michael Harris. "In a matter of minutes, they realize that Americas Cardroom delivers for Omaha players in a major way."

Also making Americas Cardroom an Omaha player's paradise is The Beast, the online poker site's progressive points race that’s funded entirely through the rake that players already pay. Omaha players tend to earn more money than Texas Hold'em through The Beast because there tends to be more money entering each pot. Last week, for example, 12 of the top 15 players to rank on The Beast leaderboard were Omaha players.

The Beast is a leaderboard competition that gives poker players a new chance to race to the top for cash prizes and tourney seats each week, just by playing in qualifying cash tables. At the end of each 7-day period, The Beast prize pool is distributed to players who rank on the weekly leaderboard.

With a new leaderboard each week, cash game players have the opportunity to participate in a brand new large-scale Beast race every seven days. In each competition they can win cash plus seats in satellite tourneys that lead to big land-based events like the WSOP or online events like the $1,000,000 GTD Million Dollar Sundays.

More information on Omaha games, The Beast and the April 12th $1,000,000 Guaranteed Million Dollar Sunday Tournament can be found at AmericasCardroom.eu.
