The West Virginia vs. Maryland betting line had the Terrapins as a -1 favorite at some books and a +1 underdog at others.  Check for the latest line here as this number is fluctuating back and forth.

The Mountaineers are 14-5-1 Against The Spread in their last 20 NCAA Tournament games, 4-0 ATS in their last 4 non-conference games and 6-2 ATS in their last 8 games overall.

The Terrapins are 6-0 Against The Spread in their last 6 games following a Straight Up win and 6-1 ATS in their last 7 games overall.

Maryland just barely got by number 13 seed Valparaiso with a three-point victory.  Their win means the top 8 seeds in the Midwest advanced to the Round of 32. It's the 1st time the top 8 seeds in a region advanced since 2012.

West Virginia beat number 12 seed Buffalo rather unconvincingly as well with a 6-point victory.  Buffalo had more turnovers (5) than points (4) in transition. The Bulls erased a 10-point halftime deficit by scoring 16 transition points in the second half. in their last 4 non-conference games.  West Virginia outscored Buffalo 15-8 in points off turnovers Friday.

West Virginia's win meant that every No. 5 seed moved on for the first time since 2007.
