Italian player Flaviano Cammisuli bagged a promising 2,362,000 chip stack tonight to seize a massive chip lead as the IPT Malta Main Event heads in to Day 4. Cammisuli, who lives here in Malta and works in a sandwich shop and gelateria in nearby Sliema, is way ahead of his followers, but has some tough company just behind him.
Eureka Prague winner Balazs Botond is currently second with 1,475,000 while the third biggest chip stack belongs to EPT Grand Final winner Steve O'Dwyer on 1,402,000. O'Dwyer already has three 7-figure prizes to his name, with the biggest and latest coming at the PCA two months back where he took down the $100k Super High Roller for $1,872,580.
Along with O'Dwyer, another EPT champ also remains in the field - EPT10 Prague winner Julian Track. The German will return for the penultimate day of the IPT Malta Main Event with 912,000. Other notables among the 43 survivors include last night's chip leader Hugo Lemaire (1,376,000), JC Alvarado (690,000), Bryan Paris (467,000) and Sabina Hiatullah (829,000), who is the last woman standing in the event.
All the Team PokerStars Pros bust the event during today - Jan Heitmann (158th), Christophe De Meulder (135th) and Matthias De Meulders (71st). Other famous players who bust today include World Champion Martin Jacobson, EPT London winner David Vamplew, EPT Deauville champ Ognyan Dimov, Shark Cage winner Griffin Benger, Ismael Bojang and Jamila von Perger.

IPT Malta has broken all Italian Poker Tour records with 1,285 participants (all of them uniques). The giant field created a €1,246,450 prize pool and the eventual champion will take home a €221,200 first prize.
