Anaheim Ducks 18-12 on the Road
The Anaheim Ducks have been one of the best road teams in the NHL this season as they have 18 wins and just 12 losses. That record is almost as good as their home mark. The only team with more road wins in the NHL is the Vancouver Canucks. The Ducks continue to defy explanation to some extent as they are winning despite having great statistics. They average 2.9 goals per game but they allow 2.7 per contest. They have been going over a little bit more on the road than at home with 16 games going over on the road, 13 going under and one game landing on the NHL betting number.
Dallas Stars Falling Out of Contention
The Western Conference is so good that any type of losing streak can put a team into real trouble. The Dallas Stars recently lost four straight games and fell six points out of a playoff spot. And it is not like the Stars are good enough to make up ground without leading scorer Tyler Seguin who is injured. The Stars have been very poor at home this season and they don’t play any defense. They are allowing 3.3 goals per game which is 28th in the league. And their offense has taken a big hit without Seguin in the lineup. You almost have to ignore their numbers that say they average 3.1 goals per game because without Seguin they struggle to score.
