The Basel v Porto betting odds for this Champions League game had Porto at 5/4 and Basel at 5/2 or 11/4 depending on the book.  The Draw was mostly coming in at 9/4.

62 percent of the action was on Porto, 23 percent on Basel.

This is the first ever competitive meeting between Basel and Porto.

Porto haven’t made it past the last 16 of the Champions League since 2008/09 when they were eventually knocked out in the quarter-finals by Manchester Utd.

Porto are one of three teams still unbeaten in this season’s Champions League, alongside Chelsea and Real Madrid.

Only Chelsea (17) scored more goals than Porto (16, like Bayern Munich and Real Madrid) in this season’s group stages.

Porto have only won one of their 13 away games in the knockout stages of the Champions League (D4 L8).

Basel have never won a Champions League game against a Portuguese side (D1 L3), scoring only one goal in four games.

Porto have only lost one of their six games against Swiss opposition in Europe (W3 D2), it was back in November 1980 against Grasshopper in the UEFA Cup (0-3 in Zurich).
