Juan Etcheverry Leads After Day 4 of the 2015 PCA Main Event

Juan Etcheverry is leading for Day 4 of the PCA Main Event. The 29-year-old Argentinian from Buenos Aires has 1,705,000. The 56 other survivors, all guaranteed at least $24,140, include Team PokerStars Pros Jason Mercier and Jonathan Duhamel, finishing with 447,000 and 266,000 respectively.

It was a spectacular day for Team PokerStars SportStar Ronaldo who is still in the event with 512,000. This is the 38-year-old Brazilian football legend's first ever cash in major live poker tournament and he has already outlasted some of the biggest names in poker. Fellow Pro Liv Boeree bust in the last level of the day in 73rd place for $20,580 however PokerStars Team Pro Online's Naoya Kihara is through to Day 4 with 509,000.

There were 816 entries in total, generating a massive $7,915,200 prize pool. As well as the $1,491,580 cash prize & coveted PCA 2015 trophy, this year’s champion will also receive a “Steel” watch from luxury Swiss brand SLYDE, the Official Watch Sponsor for the PCA Main Event, High Roller and Super High Roller. 119 players are being paid in total.

Day 3 players included a bunch of players who qualified for nothing or just a handful of $$$ - Andrew Wayman who qualified for $11 is still in with 238,000; Tomas Biliunas from Lithuania, who qualified for just 10 FPPs, finished in 91st place for $20,580 and Sebastian Freudenberg, who won his PCA trip for $4, min-cashed for $17,800. But PokerStars freeroll winner Jeffrey Michels, Columbian Mega-Path qualifier Laura Garzon and $11 qualifier Ludwig Fernstrom all bust before the bubble..

PCA 2015 
A total of 35 tourneys are taking place at Atlantis during the 2015 PCA festival. Aside from the Super High Roller, LAPT Bahamas Main Event and $10k Main Event, there is also the $25k High Roller (Jan 12), the $1k Ladies Event (Jan 13), a $1k Crazy Pineapple tourney (Jan 13) and the Americas Cup (Jan 11-12) - plus nightly turbo tournaments, not to mention plenty of Sit and Go and cash game action.

Tomorrow is the last “Breakfast with the Pros” with Daniel Negreanu giving his views on how to prepare yourself mentally for tournaments, in the PCA Players Lounge from 11am to noon.

AMERICAS CUP 
The live final of the annual Americas Cup team tournament started today. Six countries qualified in the online stages (coaches' names in brackets): Uruguay (Francisco “paulwitter” Garcia), Argentina (Leo Fernandez), Brazil (Andre Akkari), Mexico (orge Limon, Ecuador (Amos Ben), Peru (Diego Ventura).

Day 1 comprised a serious of Sit & Gos with four countries making Day 2: Peru, Brazil, Argentina and Uruguay.
