With news of Green Bay quarterback Aaron Rodgers apparently suffering a slight tear in his calf muscle, the Cowboys-Packers line took a while to move but some books were down to -5 by 6:30 pm EST from -6 at Noon EST.  Gambling911.com readers should continue monitoring the latest odds here and lock in the the more favorable number as this line will be fluid.  If you were able to get the Cowboys at +6.5, a middling opportunity is now available where you can wager Green Bay at -5 elsewhere and hope they win by 6 points.

“I think it is clear that Rodgers will not be at 100% come Game Time Sunday,” noted Gambling911.com’s own Don Shapiro.

At 2 pm EST there was no line movement evident.

“None of the books had moved their line since Wednesday,” Shapiro observed.

The injury is not expected to prevent Rodgers from playing in Sunday's divisional playoff against the Cowboys bill will most certainly affect his mobility.

The Packers are aggressively treating the injury, with the hope he can be as well as possible. Each person responds differently to calf injuries, ESPN.com reports.

"There's no question he will play, but there's also no question he will not be 100 percent," said one doctor familiar with the injury. "The question is whether he'll be 95 percent or 50 percent."

70% of those betting this game were backing Green Bay to cover what was a Packers -6 point spread Thursday afternoon.
