Falcons-Packers Spread for Monday Night Football: Fantasy Report

The Falcons-Packers spread for Monday Night Football had climbed to -13.5 at some books favoring Green Bay.  Better than 75 percent of those wagering on this game were backing the Packers.  Bookmaker.eu was still holding steadfast at -13 but you better get your wagers in now here before they too move up the half point.

While Green Bay is yet to lose at home this season they nearly did so last year against none other than Atlanta.  The Packers ultimately escaped with a one-point win.

On the Fantasy front, this may not be the easiest of matchups for Aaron Rodgers as Atlanta has allowed the third fewest number of touchdowns in the league at 15 this season.

And then there is this where Falcons starting QB is concerned a la ESPN.com: The Packers have allowed 14.17 fantasy points per game in Lambeau to opposing quarterbacks, while Ryan has averaged just 13.5 fantasy points on the road this season (compared to 19 per game at home).

The Falcons have allowed the third-most fantasy points per game to opposing backfields and that bodes mighty well for the likes of Eddie Lacy and Jordy Nelson.

To be clear, the Michigan quarterback J.J. McCarthy is pretty certain to land in Minnesota.  But what if the New England Patriots shock us and pick McCarthy at Number 3 before the Vikings get their opportunity at No. 5?
