The Denver Broncos bounced back from their loss to the Patriots by routing the Oakland Raiders last week. Peyton Manning threw five touchdowns and the game turned into a rout in the second half. The Denver Broncos feature the second ranked offense in the NFL as they are putting up about 32 points per game. The defense has been somewhat suspect as they are allowing 22 points per contest. The defense shouldn’t be a problem this week against a poor Rams offense.
St. Louis Rams 3-6 SU, 3-6 ATS
The St. Louis Rams played hard last week and actually had the lead for a long time against Arizona but eventually they ran out of gas and lost 31-14. The team now has no real chance of making the playoffs this season. The offense simply isn’t any good with all of their injuries as the team has no quality quarterback, no real running game and no quality receivers. The team plays hard under head coach Jeff Fisher but they can’t close out games. The team was outscored 21-0 in the loss to Arizona. "I think the thing I’m learning really quick is you can play well for three and a half quarters but you’ve got to play four.” quarterback Austin Davis said, “You can’t have a single letdown and right now I’m having those and it’s costing our football team. I’ve got to stay the course, stay strong and keep getting better and eliminate these mistakes, mainly turnovers that are costing our football team."
