The 2014 World Series of Poker Main Event Final Table had dwindled down to three individuals with Jorryt Van Hoof leading the pack. One thing is certain heading into Tuesday night’s action: There will be a European WSOP Main Event champion this year.

Van Hoof, a poker pro and online instructor from Eindhoven (The Netherlands), has high hopes of becoming the first Dutch world poker champion in history.

In an interview with Gambling911.com’s own Thomas Somach prior to this week, Van Hoof correctly predicted that Felix Stephensen (Norway) and Martin Jacobson (Sweden) would be the most competitive players at this year’s Final Table and, indeed, both remain.

“I have played Felix a bunch over the years and know he’s a strong player,” Van Hoof said. “Martin Jacobson has got less chips but the best results, so he’s someone to watch out for as well.”

Play continues at 5:30 pm PST at the Rio Las Vegas, inside the Penn and Teller Theatre.  Seating is free and open to the public.  Doors open at 4 pm.  The heads-up finale will also be televised nearly-live by ESPN. The broadcast (on a 30-minute delay) begins at 6 p.m. locally in Las Vegas.
