The three most wagered on sides in Football this past week just happened to all be dogs.  Each of these teams also won their respective games, leading to big victories for the bookmakers as well.

By far the biggest of those wins came with the New York Jets beating Pittsburgh at home as a +4.5 underdog.

“This was our most heralded free pick of the week,” said Don Shapiro of Gambling911.com.  “More than 90% of those betting this game were backing the Pittsburgh Steelers.”

This was also true of the Cincinnati Bengals Thursday night as Cleveland’s upset win and Pittsburgh’s Sunday loss resulted in the Browns leading the AFC North.

Ohio State also managed a road win against favored Michigan State Saturday.

Some of this was offset by Baltimore’s easy cover in their game against Tennessee.  The Ravens were the second most wagered on side Sunday.
