Looking at a few of the 2014 Week 10 fantasy matchups we can actually see the potential for teams to cover their respective spreads.

The New York Giants are a +9 underdog heading into Seattle with their season on the brink. The Giants have allowed 32.6 points per over the past three games, and have surrendered the 12th-most fantasy points per game to opposing signal-callers on the season.  Seattle, meanwhile, is allowing the seventh-fewest fantasy points per game to quarterbacks.

Then we have the Giants allowing the eighth-most fantasy points per game to opposing backs and a generous 4.4 yards-per-carry rate, one really needs to have Marshawn Lynch in their fantasy lineup this week.  These fantasy matchups suggest Seattle could cover this big spread.

Fantasy owners need to start the Bears Matt Forte this weekend for reasons that are obvious. Green Bay ranks 30th in the league in yards-per-carry allowed, while Forte is pacing for a ridiculous 2,104 total yards.

The Packers as a -7 favorite may have a tough time covering here with Chicago allowing the 12th-fewest fantasy points per game to opposing backfields.

Bears starting quarterback Jay Cutler claims the eighth-highest fantasy point average among signal-callers.  Green Bay starting QB has averaged the third-most fantasy points among quarterbacks and now faces a soft Chicago secondary allowing the fourth-most fantasy points to opposing arms.

The Packers Jordy Nelson faces a soft secondary he torched for two touchdowns in Week 4 while Randal Cobb has scored in all but one game he has played in this season.

The Bears are tied for 25th in the league with 17 passing touchdowns allowed this season.

Pittsburgh’s Antonio Brown is deemed the best fantasy wide receiver.  He has 277 yards and three touchdowns in the last two weeks and now faces an extremely vulnerable Jets secondary.
