San Jose, Costa Rica – For three hours tonight, Americas Cardroom (ACR) will have the biggest cash game on the Internet. The Cage, a cash game in a time based tournament format is ACR's latest innovation that gets underway tonight at 8:00pm ET. Interest has exceeded all expectations with already a combined prize pool of $175,000 with potential to break the $250,000 mark by the time the event kicks off.

"This is a huge opportunity for small stakes players to stop watching the high stakes games and start playing them," commented ACR spokesperson Michael Harris. "We've had tremendous turnout to our satellites and we've qualified dozens of players through them for just a fraction of the cost of the direct buy-in."

Last night's $300+$20 buy-in satellite was a huge success qualifying 4 more seats out of the 77 entrants who turned up to play the qualifier. Players GabrielKnight, Tilt-A-Whirl, imoneverything, and KnobEnd will be joining the already 35 other players registered to play out in tonight's debut of The Cage.

"Our satellite schedule has made a high stakes cash game experience accessible to everyone," continued Harris. "Where else can you parlay a $1.65 super satellite entry into a $5,100 buy-in to play against some of the most elite players in the game today for life changing money?"

Players begin the cash game with 5,000 chips should they lose them they are out of the tournament with no option to re-buy or re-enter. Once three hours of time has expired, the tournament is over and whatever chips each player has in front of them is then converted into real cash and deposited immediately into the player's account.

Unlike other tournaments or cash games, players who qualify via satellite or buy-in directly must play the three hour event once registered. The time based cash game has 3 levels with blinds increasing after every level. Blind levels start at $10/20 with $2 antes in the first hour, progress to $25/$50 with $5 antes, and finish in hour 3 with a $50/$100 level with $10 antes. Especially the last level of nosebleed stakes by design will create some of the biggest pots ever seen on Americas Cardroom.

ACR continues to push the envelope in the promotional and tournament offerings including The Winning Millions $1,000,000 Guaranteed tournament scheduled for December 14th at 3:00pm ET.
