The Georgia vs. South Carolina spread was coming in at Georgia -6.5 at BetDSI.com

The Georgia Bulldogs routed Clemson in their opener and then had last week off. Running back Todd Gurley immediately got into the Heisman Trophy discussion with a big game and he will be the focus on Saturday. Gurley had 4 TDs and 198 yards in the win over Clemson. If Gurley is shutdown on Saturday then it will be up to quarterback Hutson Mason to play well.

The South Carolina Gamecocks played poorly in their opener as they were blown out by Texas A&M but they did bounce back to win last week against East Carolina. Even with the win, head coach Steve Spurrier realizes the team has a lot of work to do. “If we’re going to be a decent team this year, we’ve got to be more sound in everything we do,” said Spurrier. The defense has allowed 1,133 yards in two games. The defense will have to stop Heisman Trophy candidate Todd Gurley if they are to win this game on Saturday. “Either he or the quarterback at Oregon (Marcus Mariota), I guess, are the Heisman leaders right now,” Spurrier said. “Hopefully we can slow him down a little bit.”
