The United Kindgom Gambling Commission (UKGC) has suspended the license of a small independent online poker room, PokerCents.com.  Service has also been shut off as a result.  PokerCents.com hopes to have its service restored on October 1 once it comes into compliance.

The online poker company claims its license was suspended due to not having the proper certificate.

The Commission was vague in its own statement issued Monday.

"We are concerned the licensee is operating in a manner which is not consistent with the licensing objectives in regard to ensuring that gambling is conducted in a fair and open manner," the commission said.

PokerNews.com offered information on how to get your refund. If you had an account at PokerCent and you do not want to wait until Oct. 1 to discover if you will be able to sit at the tables again, the room has set up a special procedure for withdrawals and refunds.

In order to withdraw the money available on your PokerCent account, all you need to do is contact the poker room's customer support via email at support@pokercent.com or use the live chat available on the room's website.
