The Chiefs Super Bowl odds for 2015 were set at 60/1 while the Raiders were a huge long shot at 175/1 odds.  Only Jacksonville had worse odds than Oakland.

The Chiefs turned their season around dramatically last year, becoming the last undefeated team.  They also made some solid acquisitions during the offseason.

This year, Kansas City has a big target on their head and they won’t have as soft a schedule early on.  In fact, their schedule overall is 7th toughest in the league.  The first few weeks, Kansas City will face the likes of Denver, New England and San Francisco.

The oddsmakers have this KC team winning no more than 8 regular season game.

The Raiders, on the other hand, are expected to win no more than 5.

Getting back to Kansas City, things looked promising early last season with that team’s defense able to keep their opponents to 17 points or less.  But there was probably a good reason for this, as WalterSports.com explains:

Prior to their Week 10 bye, the Chiefs limited every single opponent of theirs to 17 points or fewer. Some saw this as a remarkable feat, but Kansas City played a barrage of terrible quarterbacks in the first half of the season, including Blaine Gabbert, Ryan Fitzpatrick, Terrelle Pryor, Case Keenum, Jason Campbell and Jeff Tuel. It would have been disappointing had Kansas City not limited those signal-callers to fewer than three touchdowns.
